Manor at Market Square is definitely one of our community's "Hidden Gems". From our very first tour day, to the day I moved my grandmother's things out, The staff were nothing but amazing and helpful. My 97 year old grandmother lived in independent living there from the end of October until she passed, in March. I liked that if she would need personal care at any point, she could remain in the same room and not need to move again. She enjoyed the size of her private room and having a kitchenette with lots of storage. She had assistance, for a small fee, with the laundry, which was a blessing to me. The Executive Director, Carol Stephens even did her laundry herself one day when my grandmother got confused about the correct laundry day, just to make her feel less anxious. She was really cared for by staff, even as an independent resident. In her final days, the Resident Life Director, Stephanie Ziegler noticed changes with her while doing a daily wellness check, when my grandmother didn't leave her room. Stephanie facilitated getting a urine order sent and medication ordered with the doctor. Then a few weeks later, I inquired about hospice. By the next day, she was on hospice and receiving the care she needed. Fortunately and unfortunately, all of this happened on a Friday. I was unable to get her placed on personal care until Monday, so I had the opportunity to stay with her all weekend during her last few days, caring for her. Several staff members went above and beyond, providing me with meals and sitting with her while I left for 2 hours to take care of my family duties at home. By Monday, Stephanie coordinated with hospice, the doctors and the facility, and got her label as personal care. That gave me the peace to be able to leave for a night, knowing she would be well-cared-for while I got a few hours of sleep. My grandmother passed the next morning. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the facility and the people who work there. So many people exceeded my expectations from move in until move out. I highly recommend this community to anyone who is looking for a fantastic place to live.
